I. CHANGING THE BATTERY

X–SMART

™

Easy uses a rechargeable battery. It can be recharged 300-500 full

cycles, depending on the conditions of the motor handpiece. If the operating time or

recharging time becomes shorter, replace the battery (refer to the “Changing

Battery”). When replacing, be sure to observe the following “PRECAUTIONS ON

CHANGING BATTERY”. Note that Dentsply shall not be held liable for any

malfunction or failure resulting from the failure to follow the “PRECAUTIONS ON

CHANGING BATTERY”.

PRECAUTIONS ON CHANGING BATTERY

• Do not open any part other than the battery cover.

• Be sure to purchase and use only a Dentsply replacement battery. Otherwise, battery may

cause damage or explode.

• Do not change the battery with wet hands. This may cause trouble due to short-circuiting of

batteries and moisture infiltrating this product.

Changing Battery

1. Turn off the power.

2. Remove the plug.

3. Unscrew the battery cover. Lift the battery cover off the back of the handpiece.

4. Remove the old battery.

PRECAUTIONS

Ensure you pull out the cord by holding the connector. Failure to do so may cause a break

in the cord.
