CERAMCO3 DENTIN AND DENTIN MODIFIER PORCELAIN
The Ceramco Dentin Modifiers have the same hue and opacity as the Ceramco dentin
porcelain but are approximately % higher in chroma (color saturation). The dentin
modifiers can be used undiluted or mixed with the Ceramco Dentins, Opaceous Dentins,
Natural Enamels, or Opal Enamels for a variety of effects. There are shaded and hue
dentin modifiers available. Select the recommended dentin modifier that corresponds with
the desired shade according to the following chart. For a very subtle effect, mix in a very
small amount of dentin modifier with the dentin porcelain.
CERAMCO3 NATURAL ENAMELS, OPAL ENAMELS AND MAMELON PORCELAIN
The Ceramco Natural Enamels are non-opalescent and can be used in thin or thick layers
over the dentin to duplicate the vitality of natural teeth. They can also be mixed with the
dentin or opal enamel porcelains for a variety of effects. The Ceramco SoftWear Enamels
can be used in place of the Natural Enamels, to provide low wear characteristics against
opposing natural dentition. The Ceramco Opal Enamels are an intense opal enamel
porcelain. They can be mixed in with the Natural Enamels or used as an effect powder. The
mamelon porcelains can be used in full concentration or diluted with the clear enamel
porcelain. They are normally placed on the dentin porcelain lobes prior to the enamel
porcelain application.
DENTIN BUILD-UP TECHNIQUE:
. Areas on the model that the porcelain will contact should be completely sealed with
DENTSPLY Prosthetics Die Sealer. Other sealers or oils may leave a residue that will
cause discoloration and should not be used.
. Mix the porcelains with Ceramco Build-up Liquids E or U, or distilled water to a paste-
like consistency.
